Our Rosa denim shirtdress is a keeper. Made from a beautifully textured Japanese cotton – woven by artisans using time-honoured techniques in Ibara, Japan – it gets even better with age. The structural form is contrasted with easy volume, while the utilitarian feel of denim is offset with playful details – the puffed sleeves, the patch pockets trimmed with ruffles, the side splits on the skirt. Finished with dark-blue topstitching, adjustable corozo button cuffs on the sleeves, and neat bound hems in contrasting lilac, it’s a true forever piece.

A note on our Japanese denim and corozo buttons
Our Rosa Japanese denim shirtdress is crafted from premium Japanese cotton that’s been woven by artisans using traditional techniques in Ibara, Japan. Naturally dyed, we’ve washed it down further to give it a rich texture and beautiful love-worn feel. It’s made in Romania by Mantra, one of the few manufacturers we work with abroad for its carbon neutrality and zero-waste stance.
Our cotton is also certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means it’s completely free from chemicals harmful to your skin. We’ve used corozo – known as vegetable ivory – for our buttons, as it comes from a nut found in South America which can only be harvested once it naturally falls to the ground, making it a more sustainable choice. It’s also biodegradable.
